Retro 1960's Westinghouse Commercial

You have GOT to check this out! What a gem, what a find! It's a retro late 1960's commercial featuring Westinghouse fridges and how to renovate them and change the way they look whenever the mood suits you. See what you think...I love it!

Who knew they made 6-and-a-half-minute commercials back then? I wonder if it was for trade shows or something. It's like a short film with its own soundtrack. I thought it was interesting to see the "French-door" with freezer on the bottom that was supposed to be a "new" style today!

If I had that fridge, I would be changing the panels constantly!

Amy,

That red outfit the girl was wearing at the beginning of the commercial was the "IN" thing back then. I am glad we don't have to renovate our fridges nowadays. I am too busy for that. lol Oh, the things we do when we're young.

Blessings,
Mary

Just about anything the 60s produced blows my mind...she's even dancing to the groovy music while cutting out her custom panel fabric!

Amy,

In regards to your question about my poppies. Yes, they are red. Next spring I'd love to see a photo of your pink ones. I've seen peach and red, but neverr pink. I will post a photo of them when they bloom. They are beautiful and to think they were a present from the Earth. I'm suspecting bird droppings deposited them where they are.

I remember dishwashers with changeable panels but not fridges. A lot of kitchens I remember from the early 70's looked like the ones in the commercials.
