Winter is here in full force and I am loving it! We've had plenty of lightening and thunder - perfect for lying in bed with a good book listening to the patter of the rain on the roof. Our kittens are just on 6 months old now and they're growing fast. They remind me of when I was growing up - we had 5 cats at one time, 4 of them were strays we adopted, two of which were called George (after George Michael - this was the 80's) and Suzy. These two were very close to each other and were usually together all the time. It wasn't unusual to find them both asleep on someone's bed with their paws wrapped around each other.
There were times when in the middle of the day we'd hear cars outside along the road furiously beeping their horns. We'd go out and find both cats cuddled up in the middle of the road completely oblivious to the cars trying to get past. We'd have to swoop out and grab them before they got run over.
Sadly Suzy at 8 years old was put down after another cat a few houses up bit her causing an abscess which got infected and George died a few years later after catching feline aids from another cat.
I can quite happily say that I've been a cat person most of my life. What pet memories do you have?

Im a cat person too, I have too many memories and if I start talking about them I will probably start bawling my eyes out for the ones that are no longer here. Your kittens are getting big, my kitten Izzy isnt a kitten anymore but she till gets called kitten mitten X
I'm definitely a cat person. We've always had cats as far back as I can remember. Our first stray was a black and white female with attitude who we called "Socks". She got pregnant and my dad said all the kittens had to go. I pitched a fit so he made me a deal: if Socks had a solid white kitten, I could keep it.
So when the kittens were born, dad and I were watching. At one point, Socks got up laid down in front of my dad, birthed a solid white kitten, got up and went back to the other kittens. I swear it's true! It was the most amazing thing ever! lol
I name my dog "Jessy" in the '80s after the Rick Springfield song "Jessy's girl." He was a good dog. Good thing the name was for both boys and girls :)
I love cats. My favorite pet I ever had was named Kobe. He died 7 years ago. I've never gotten over his death. He was so adorable. I loved that cat like he was my own kid.
Your cats are so cute! I am definitely a cat person. I think I have had at least 12 in my entire life so far.
Beautiful cat!
I'm tired of summer and ready for some cooler weather myself.
